We got our one minute of fame on CFTO at 6:00pm and again at 11:00 pm. I also saw one print journalist snapping pics and interviewing parents. I brought the Board’s cost estimates for the rebuilds on the neighbouring schools- Highcastle and Alexander Sterling, and the estimate for the new Meadowvale/ Sheppard school. The parents gave copies to the CFTO reporter and the station latched on to cost of these compared to repairing Brooks Rd

We’re at it again tonight. We’ll be organizing a mass letter signing on Parent/ Teacher night today and tomorrow. Each trustee will get a dozen or so letters with different multiple signatures on each one. In addition, the parent council is printing a newsletter with the trustee contact info and a page of information on the school closing and how to write their own personal appeals to the trustees.
The parents want to organize another media event on March 8th- Family Fitness night.
